Our preschool
St Mary’s Preschool is a term-time preschool for children aged 2½ – 4 years old. Run by a primary school teacher, the preschool is based in Oldswinford, Stourbridge, in the West Midlands.
Our setting
Our ‘pack-away’ preschool is set inside a large hall next to a church, amongst beautiful blossom trees. Nestled away in a quiet area, it is spacious yet has a homely feel, and allows the children to move freely to areas of interest whilst following a structured day.
Every child is at the heart of our daily adventures. A vibrant environment with a stunning garden area and large hall space, St Mary’s Preschool offers a safe and inspiring space for young minds to explore, grow and thrive. Our passionate and dedicated staff create a nurturing atmosphere where wonder sparks learning and play every day, ensuring each child’s unique needs are met with care and attention. We’re committed to helping every child to ensure they feel valued and supported as they begin their exciting journey of learning and discovery.
Indoor space
The large, open and airy church hall gives us plenty of space to use as we wish, whether it’s for exercise, arranging furniture to accommodate large group activities or small, cosy corners.
Outdoor space
We are really lucky to have a fantastic, large, safe outside space which we use all year round. We go outside every day, adjusting the time spent outdoors depending on the weather. The large trees provide shady areas in the summer, and the children love running on the grass and digging in the soil. Our outdoor area has climbing equipment, a mud kitchen, planters for growing herbs etc.

There is a wonderful atmosphere there which is calm and inviting but also offers the opportunity for adventure and exploring. The staff are just incredible; they are highly experienced, passionate about what they do, but also really fun!
